Days of Tajik Culture Will Be Held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris

DUSHANBE, 12.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Days of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan will be held on October 14 at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. A delegation comprised of 82 artists and art groups led by the Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Zulfiya Davlatzoda and the head of the Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture Mirzoolim Saidov will present a variety of Tajik national art.
The cultural program will include Tajik, French, and Italian songs and melodies performed by talented Tajik artists including Davlatmandi Khol, Adham Kholikov, Fayzali Hasanov, Rahmatullo Hoshimov, Davlat Nazri, Nigina Amonkulova, Muhammadrafi Karomatullo, Fotima Mashrabova, Sharofat Usmonzoda, Sitorai Karomatullo, Tahmina Niyezova, Firdavs Hoshimov, Usmonzoda Amirjon Ruziev, and Jannatullo Abdulloev. Along with their performances, the program will include performances by national musical ensembles, and Tajik national dances by Lola, Zebo, Jahonoro, and Gulrez dance collectives.
Samples of folk handicrafts and national costumes which showcase the rich history and culture of the Tajik nation, will be exhibited at the entrance of UNESCO headquarters. The national costumes and folk crafts will be presented by Mufarrah Mukhabbatov and designer Khurshed Sattorov.

The last time famous Tajik artists took part in such an event was during Presisent Emomali Rahmon’s meeting with the then President of France Jacques Chirac in 2005 in France.
The largest exhibition of Tajik historical artifacts entitled “Tajikistan — the Land of Golden Rivers” will start tomorrow at the Guimet Museum in Paris. The exhibition will last until January 10, 2022.
