DUSHANBE, 11.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Within the framework of his working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the President of the Chamber of Representatives of the Belgian Federal Parliament Eliane Tillieux.
The inter-parliamentary ties and exchange of experiences between the legislative bodies of Tajikistan and Belgium were reviewed in depth.
President Rahmon expressed his satisfaction with the good level of political and inter-parliamentary ties, and noted the necessity of further expanding the activities of the Friendship Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union of Belgium and Tajikistan.
The discussion also focused on strengthening cooperation in the field of economy, trade, investment, culture, and tourism.
Likewise, they noted their interest in continuing to expand cooperation in energy, industry, science, culture, education, and health care.
The discussion also touched upon combating modern security threats.
At the end of the conversation, President Rahmon invited the President of the Chamber of Representatives of the Belgian Federal Parliament Eliane Tillieux to visit Tajikistan.
