DUSHANBE, 16.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Football Federation of Tajikistan and the UNICEF Representative Office in Tajikistan signed a long-term memorandum of cooperation.

The document was signed in the presence of media representatives yesterday, confirmed the Vice-President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Dilshod Jurazoda and the head of UNICEF Representative Office in Tajikistan Osama Makkawi.

“It is a great honor for the Football Federation of Tajikistan to cooperate and develop joint initiatives with such an authoritative international organization as the UNICEF. We are ready to put effort into ensuring that joint football projects and competitions offer children the necessary support and attention,” said Jurazoda.

The memorandum envisages encouraging children from low-income families to play football, promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people, and in particular encouraging girls to play the sport.

“We are glad to cooperate with the Football Federation of Tajikistan and sincerely hope to be useful, providing all possible support in the implementation of joint program activities. Football is the most popular sport in Tajikistan. It is by playing that children develop, both physically and intellectually. Football can change their lives,” noted Makkawi.
