Tajik Judokas Will Take Part in the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam

DUSHANBE, 24.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Ten Tajik judokas will take part in the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam, which will be held from November 26 through November 28 in the United Arab Emirates.
According to the International Judo Federation, 232 athletes, including 144 men, and 88 women from 42 countries will take part in the Grand Slam.
The Tajik team includes Shahboz Saidabrorov (60 kg), Alijon Safaraliev (66 kg), Bahrom Sufiev (66 kg), Somon Mahmadbekov (73 kg), Muhammadrahim Sarakhonov (73 kg), Haknazar Nazarov (81 kg), Khushvakht Idiev (81 kg), Komronshoh Ustopiriyon (90 kg), Jahongir Majidov (90 kg), and Temur Rahimov (+100 kg).
The Grand Slam will traditionally begin on November 26 in the -48 kg, -52 kg, -57 kg weight categories among women, and -60 kg, -66 kg among men.
On November 27, there will be competitions among women in the -63 kg, -70 kg weight categories and men in -73 kg, -81 kg.
on November 27, judokas will compete for medals in the weight categories -78 kg, +78 kg among women and -90 kg, -100 kg, +100 kg among men.
Winners will be awarded medals and cash prizes , including $5,000 for the first place, $3,000 for the second, and $1,500 for the third place.
