Work to Eliminate Consequences of Natural Disasters Discussed in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 02.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense Rustam Nazarzoda and the head of the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction in Europe and Central Asia Octavian Bivol discussed the implementation of joint projects on disaster response.
Nazarzoda provided information on the work in the area of emergency management.
The meeting also focused on the issues of international cooperation, work to eliminate the consequences of natural disasters, and assistance from the government of Tajikistan to the affected population.
The parties also touched upon the issues of education, training, and retraining of specialists.
