Tajikistan and Qatar Discuss National Olympic Committee Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 15.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee Ahtam Abdullozoda met with the Qatari Ambassador to Tajikistan Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Abdullah, reports the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan.
Abdullozoda expressed satisfaction with the friendly relations between the two countries in all areas.
The Qatari government has made great strides in the field of sports in recent years. In particular, next year Qatar will host the World Cup, and in 2030 the Asian Games, which will give a serious impetus to the development of sports in the region and the world.
Al Abdullah positively characterized the state of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Qatar, including the relations between the National Olympic Committees, which are established on the basis of a memorandum.
Abdullozoda asked the Ambassador to convey the sincere congratulations of the leadership of the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on the occasion of his re-election as the President of the Qatar Olympic Committee.
The meeting focused on other issues of cooperation, including the construction of sports facilities in Dushanbe, and the organization of joint exercises for the national teams of the two countries in Qatar and Tajikistan.
Al Abdullah presented a guide to the 2030 Asian Games to the National Olympic Committee.
