Tajikistan and Uzbekistan Sign Four Documents on Cooperation in Labor, Migration and Employment

DUSHANBE, 18.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan and Uzbekistan signed four documents on cooperation in the field of labor, migration and employment, reports the Press Center of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan.
The documents were signed in Tashkent by the First Deputy Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan Abdugaffor Rahmonzoda and the First Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan Erkin Muhiddinov.
Among the signed documents are a memorandum of understanding between the Agency for Labor Migration of Uzbekistan and the Migration Service of Tajikistan, declaration on cooperation in the field of state labor regulation between the two ministries, declaration of goodwill on the digitalization of labor relations and project management in the field of labor between the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Project Management Center of Uzbekistan, and declaration of goodwill on cooperation in vocational education between the two ministries.
The signed documents will create a favorable basis for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
A working group of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan led by the First Deputy Minister Rahmonzoda was in Uzbekistan from February 14 through February 18.
The purpose of the visit was to study the best practices for the digitalization of services for vulnerable segments of the population, organize short-term professional courses in accordance with the needs of domestic and foreign labor markets, and to exchange experience in providing practical assistance in order to find employment for those who have completed training courses.
