Yusuf Rahmon: Prosecution Authorities Reveal Over 85,000 Violations

DUSHANBE, 03.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – In 2021, in connection with control over the strict and uniform implementation of laws, 6,291 prosecutorial checks were carried out, 85,198 violations were identified, and 184,514 violated rights and interests of citizens were restored. This was announced yesterday at a press conference by the Prosecutor General of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon.
According to Rahmon, in their activities, the bodies of the Prosecutor’s Office have established new prosecutorial methods and increased the efficiency of their work.
He noted that in 2021, 24,118 crimes were registered in Tajikistan, which is 2.8% more compared to 2020, out of which 80.4% were cleared.
Rahmon also noted that during this period, compared to 2020, there were 4 fewer murders, 23 thefts, 101 cases of hooliganism, and 143 crimes of an extremist and terrorist nature. There were 30 fewer suicides compared to 2020.
