Dushanbe and Baku Become Sister Cities

DUSHANBE, 03.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – During his official visit to Azerbaijan, Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali met with Mayor of Baku Eldar Azizov.
The meeting focused on a wide range of issues of cooperation and prospects for relations between the capitals of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.
Rustam Emomali emphasized the constructive policy of the top leaders of the two countries in expanding and strengthening the entire spectrum of relations.
The parties expressed interest in expanding multifaceted cooperation between Dushanbe and Baku, strengthening the work to create favorable conditions for trade, economic, scientific, cultural, and tourism activities, as well as the exchange of experience between economic entities of cities.
Upon completion of the negotiations, Rustam Emomali and Eldar Azizov signed an agreement on the establishment of sister city relations between Dushanbe and Baku.
