Tajikistan and Turkey Discuss Opportunities to Strengthen Banking Sector Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 11.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On March 7 in Istanbul, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Turkey Ashrafjon Gulov met with the Vice President of the Ziraat Bank Yuksel Cesur.
The meeting focused on the current situation of the economy and serious shocks to the world financial markets.
The parties also expressed their opinion on reducing the negative impact on the banking system of the countries.
Meanwhile, they touched upon the possibility of strengthening cooperation in the banking sector, including within the framework of the Tajik and Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
The parties noted the importance of organizing joint events to explore the possibilities of the banking sector of Tajikistan and Turkey.
