Minister of Health Meets World Bank Mission

DUSHANBE, 05.04.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan Jamoliddin Abdullozoda met with the World Bank mission.
The meeting was also attended by the World Bank Country Manager for Tajikistan Ozan Sevimli, representatives of the ministry and the bank.
Abdullozoda noted that the development of a new healthcare project called Healthy Nation, support for the implementation of existing projects, including Improving Healthcare and Emergency Project to Combat COVID-19, and the development of an investment plan will be aimed at supporting the implementation of the National Health Strategy of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030.
“Currently, an investment plan is being developed to support priority areas aimed at ensuring the sustainable financing of the healthcare sector, providing quality and efficient services at the primary healthcare level, strengthening information systems, digitalization of healthcare and human resources in the healthcare system,” Abdullozoda said.
The implementation of existing World Bank projects is continuing successfully.
Sevimli expressed satisfaction with the progress of cooperation with the Ministry and expressed interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
