DUSHANBE, 18.04.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – President Emomali Rahmon explained what needs to be done to protect food security. He spoke about this to the residents of Asht district as part of his working trip to the Sughd region.
According to him, all over the world there is a rise in prices for goods, fuel, services, and most importantly, food.
“We need to mobilize all of our resources and capabilities to produce food, stockpile and protect food security,” he said.
President Emomali Rahmon called the current situation in the world very tense.
Recalling the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, he noted that in difficult times, all countries, even world powers, think only about their own population and introduce measures to stabilize the situation in their country.
Emomali Rahmon said that it is necessary to prevent the growth of prices in the markets.
“We must never rely on others. On the contrary, we must unite and work harder than ever, produce as much as possible, and prevent our people from suffering from food shortages and rising prices, especially during the autumn-winter season,” he noted.
He expressed hope that the residents of Asht will continue to put effort to develop an independent Tajik state.
