Shoira Zulkainarova Starts World Boxing Championship with a Victory

DUSHANBE, 12.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik boxer Shoira Zulkainarova defeated her Kuwaiti rival Almutari Noura with a score of 5-0 on the 3rd day of the World Boxing Championship, reports the Boxing Federation of Tajikistan.
Zulkainarova yesterday at the World Boxing Championship in Turkey in the weight category up to 63 kg met with a Kuwaiti athlete. The boxing match began in the 1/32 finals and lasted 5 rounds. In this competition, Tajik boxer by the decision of the judges won with a score of 5-0. Thus, Zulkainarova reached the 1/16 finals.
Tajikistan at this competition is represented by 4 athletes, including Sumaya Kosimova (-48 kg), Ruhafzo Haknazarova (-50 kg), Mijgona Samadova (-57 kg) and Shoira Zulkainarova (-63 kg). The team is headed by head coach Mirzo Shamsiev.
On the first day of the tournament, Kosimova in the weight category up to 48 kg lost to her Bulgarian rival Sevda Asenova in the 1/32 finals. Also, another athlete Samadova in the weight category up to 57 kg lost yesterday to Taiwanese boxer Lin Yu-Ting.
Today, another boxer Haknazarova, will enter the ring in the weight category up to 50 kg.
The championship is held in Istanbul. 419 athletes from 93 countries take part in it.
