Tajik Athletes Win Nine Medals at the International Tournament in Tashkent

DUSHANBE, 27.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik athletes won 9 medals at the International Taekwondo Championship (WT) in honor of Professor Bak Moon Jong, reports the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan.
According to the Taekwondo Federation of Tajikistan (WT), competitions among teenagers, youth and adults were held from May 21 through May 24 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. More than 1,200 athletes from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took part in the competitions.
The Tajik team which is made up of 46 people, including 36 athletes, 4 judges, 6 coaches took part in the competitions and won 4 silver and 5 bronze medals.
Silver medals were won by Abdujafar Bahodur (45 kg) and Mino Sharipova (55 kg) among juniors, Farida Gulomova (poomsae — a form of martial arts) and Munisa Oimatova (53 kg) among adults.
Khosiyat Safarova (41 kg) and Nurina Alinazarova (41 kg) among juniors, Munisa Ismatova (57 kg), Muhammadjon Sunatov (63 kg), and Abumutalib Mirzoev (58 kg) among adults won bronze medals.
