Tajikistan Receives 198,900 Doses of Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccine

DUSHANBE, 30.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Tajikistan received 198,900 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine as part of the COVAX mechanism.
The vaccines are being stored in a special warehouse of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population and will be delivered to cities and districts as needed.
According to the decision of the Republican COVID-19 Prevention Commission, vaccination against coronavirus infection is mandatory for citizens over 18 years of age.
Currently, Tajik citizens are vaccinated against coronavirus with Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, CoronaVac, Moderna, and Pfizer vaccines.
The vaccine is provided free of charge to citizens.
