Tajik Athlete Abdulloev Wins Silver Medal at the Asian U-17 Championship

DUSHANBE, 21.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On the second day of the Asian U-17 Wrestling Championship in Bishkek, Tajik athlete Sunnat Abdulloev in the weight category up to 65 kg, took second place in Greco-Roman wrestling, reports the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan.
In the road to the final, Abdulloev defeated Japanese Kakiru Sakai, Turkmen Kakabai Kakabaev, and Korean Tiang Kwon. In final he lost to Kutman Temirbekov and took second place.
On the first day, Hussein Hasanov won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 60 kg.
For the first time, the Asian Wrestling Championship is held simultaneously in two age categories – U-17 and U-23.
The Tajik team consists of 14 people, including 8 juniors and 6 young wrestlers.
According to regulations, the competition will be held among U-17 from June 19 through June 22, and among U-23 from June 23 through June 26.
