Tajik Athlete Will Go to the US for the World Championships

DUSHANBE, 30.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik athlete Ildar Akhmadiyev will go to the US to take part in the World Athletics Championships, reports the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Tajikistan.
The rescheduled 18th World Athletics Championships will take place from July 23 through July 26 in Eugene.
Initially, the Championships was to be held from August 6 through August 15. The tournament was postponed due to the postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Akhmadiyev will be accompanied on his trip to the US by Olympic champion, Chairman of the Athletics Federation of Tajikistan and Head of the Central Asian Athletics Federation Dilshod Nazarov, who will take part in the Congress of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
