Tajik Football Team Ranks First Place in Group F Following 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers

DUSHANBE, 15.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – In the final round of the 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers, the national football team of Tajikistan tied against Kyrgyzstan (0-0) and took first place in Group F.
Earlier, in the first two matches, Tajikistan beat Myanmar (4-0) and Singapore (1-0).
Following the results of three rounds, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan scored seven points each and reached the 2023 Asian Cup. Due to the best goal difference, Tajik team took first place in the group. In three matches, Tajikistan did not concede a single goal.
Tajik team led by the Croatian specialist Petr Segrt for the first time in its history reached Asian Cup, which will be held from June 16 through July 16, 2023.
Japan, Syria, Qatar, South Korea, Australia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, China, Iraq, Oman, Vietnam, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Uzbekistan, Thailand, India, Hong Kong, Bahrain, Malaysia, Kyrgyzstan and Indonesia also reached Asian Cup.
The decision on where the 18th Asian Cup will be held will be made at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Asian Football Confederation on October 17.
Today, the delegation of the Tajik team will arrive in Dushanbe.
