Dushanbe Is Among the Cheapest Cities in the World for Foreigners

DUSHANBE, 05.07.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Three capitals of Central Asia at once — Dushanbe, Tashkent and Bishkek were on the list of the cheapest cities in the world for foreign specialists to live in. The data is given in the Cost of Living City Ranking, according to centralasia.media.
In total, there are 227 cities on the list, the calculation is carried out from the most expensive to the cheapest.
Tashkent ranks 221st, Dushanbe (225th) and Bishkek (226th).
Hong Kong is recognized as the most expensive city for foreigners to live in, and Ankara is the cheapest.
The top ten in terms of high cost included four Swiss cities at once: Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Bern. The top 10 also included: Tel Aviv, New York, Singapore, Tokyo and Beijing.
The top ten cheapest cities also included: Istanbul, Karachi, Islamabad, Almaty (219).
Such a rating of the most expensive and cheapest cities for moving is compiled annually.
The only exception was 2021, when, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided not to conduct research.
Cities are valued on the value of more than 200 goods and services, including the cost of housing rent, public transport, food, clothing and entertainment.
