Tajik Athlete Aknazarov Wins Bronze Medal at International Youth Boxing Tournament in Kazakhstan

DUSHANBE, 19.07.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik athlete Anushervon Aknazarov won a bronze medal in the 67 kg weight category at the International Youth Boxing Tournament in Kustanai, Kazakhstan, reports the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan.
Aknazarov won in the first round against the athlete of the host country Maxim Shtro, in the quarterfinals he defeated another Kazakh athlete Abilai Sman, but in the semifinals he lost to the representative of Uzbekistan Javohir Umataliev.
The tournament was held from July 13 through July 17 in honor of the memory of the brothers Ural and Korgan Aytanov. The event included the participation of more than 100 athletes from Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Poland, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Iraq.
Tajikistan was represented by seven athletes, including Aslamjon Kurbanov (54 kg), Abubakr Murodov (60 kg), Olimjon Orifzoda (63.5 kg), Abdurahim Yokubov (63.5 kg), Anushervon Aknazarov (67 kg), Dilshodkhon Saidahmadov (67 kg), and Nurlanbek Ermatov (75 kg).
