Tajik Athlete Becomes Asian Champion in Bodybuilding in the Maldives

DUSHANBE, 22.07.2022 (NIAT Khovar) — Tajik athlete Jasmine An-Nimr won the 54th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Championship, which took place from July 15 through July 21 in Maafushi Island, Maldives.
The best athletes of Asia took part in the competition, where the representative of Tajikistan won the gold.
More than 500 athletes and officials from 25 countries of the continent took part in the championship.
It is also the first Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Championships to be held in Maldives and organized by the Asian Bodybuilding Federation, which is also a member of the Olympic Council of Asia.
Jasmine is one of the best in Tajikistan, having become the repeated champion and prize-winner of the country. Her gold is a huge success for this sport in Tajikistan.
Former head of the country’s Bodybuilding and Powerlifting Federation Olim Parpiev is training the athlete. In connection with the transition to a new position, Parpiev decided to step down from the post of federation’s head.
Recently, he was replaced by the famous athlete Tole Kholnazarov.
“We have a lot of work to do to popularize bodybuilding and powerlifting. The main task is to attract sponsors to support athletes who will take part in international competitions,” said the new head of the federation.
