DUSHANBE, 01.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) –  Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation,  President of  Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres.

They discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and the UN.

They touched upon the critical issues of sustainable development, ensuring peace and stability, and regional security.

The issues related to strengthening the Tajik — Afghan border and providing humanitarian aid to the suffering people of Afghanistan were discussed as well.At the end of the conversation, the UN Secretary-General noted his appreciation of the balanced policy and the wise position of Tajikistan in finding ways to resolve regional and international issues.
