President Emomali Rahmon Made New Personnel Appointments
DUSHANBE, 24.01.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the newly-appointed officials of the ministry, government agencies, committees and law enforcement agencies. The meeting took place in the Palace of the Nation on January 24.
During the conversation President Emomali Rahmon’s attention focused on improving the efficiency of ministries and government agencies, eliminating existing disadvantages, ensuring a decent life, improving the country’s economic potential, attracting direct foreign investment, improving the image of Tajikistan in the international arena, providing security, ensuring the rule of law and implementing instructions following the Presidential Address to the Supreme Assembly.
By presidential executive orders and government degrees, the ministers of economic development and trade, education and science, culture as well as chairman of the Committee for Television and Radio-Broadcasting, Youth Affairs and Sport, the Rectors of a number of higher educational institutions were relieved of their posts.
Personnel changes have also been made in other regions. Those affected include the head of Department of Internal Affairs in Sughd, head of MIA Department No. 1 in Isfara, head of MIA Department in Buston and Spitament of Sughd Province, head of the Investigation Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs, chiefs of MIA departments in Levakant, Norak, Farkhor, Shamsiddin Shohin and Jayhun of Khatlon Province, head of Regional Directorates of the Ministry of Interior in Khatlon, head of MIA Department No. 1 in Firdavsi district of Dushanbe, head of MIA department in the Dushanbe railway station line, and heads of the Department of State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan in Sughd and Khatlon provinces.
