Tajik Athletes Win Two Bronze Medals at the Veterans World Judo Championship

DUSHANBE, 12.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik athletes Oyatullo Kamari and Nematullo Arsonkulov won bronze medals at the Veterans World Judo Championship.
The championship was held from September 8 through September 11 in Krakow, Poland with the participation of 837 athletes, including 743 men and 94 women from 60 countries.
Tajikistan was represented by 10 athletes among men, namely Kutbiddin Bahodurov (-60 kg), Abdulfayz Solehov (-73 kg), Sohibnazar Haknazarov (-73 kg), Jonibek Mahmudzoda (-81 kg), Shohhussein Rahimov (-81 kg), Vali Sultonzoda (-90 kg), Oyatullo Kamari (-90 kg), Faridun Ustopirov (-100 kg), Sobir Sharifov (-100 kg), and Nematullo Arsonkulov (+100 kg).
In the team standings, Tajikistan took 41st place among 60 countries with two bronze medals, one fifth, and two seventh places.
