DUSHANBE, 16.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The efforts of the Tajik side to stabilize the situation on the state border of Tajikistan with the Kyrgyz Republic as of 11:00 have not been yielding positive results. The Kyrgyz side is continuing the armed conflicts and is avoiding resolving the issue through negotiations, according to the report by the Press Center of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan.
“Twice, the Kyrgyz servicemen responded to the unilateral ceasefire of Tajikistan with intense fire from various types of weapons towards settlements,” the report says.
Additionally, the Kyrgyz side is accusing Tajikistan of continuing the conflict, spreading this misinformation via internet networks. In a provocative way, in the news, Kyrgyz media is reporting about the use of bearded fighters in black uniforms without identification stripes, which is far from the truth. It is the Kyrgyz military personnel who are using special forces. This is a proven fact.
The provocative information disseminated by the Kyrgyz Republic in social networks is aimed at complicating the situation on the state border of the two countries.
Tajikistan has been a supporter of resolving the border conflict through negotiations and diplomacy and remains adamant in its position.
