Tajikistan to Host CSTO Military Exercise Rubezh 2022

DUSHANBE, 10.10.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – From October 10 to 21, Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian region are to participate in Rubezh 2022 joint exercise in the Republic of Tajikistan.
The exercise is dedicated to preparing and conducting operations aimed at eliminating illegal armed groups that invade a CSTO member State.
The active phase is to be held at Kharbmaidon training ground from October 17 to 21.
The exercise will be attended by the military contingents of the member States from CSTO Central Asian region, as well as operational groups from CSTO Joint Staff and Secretariat.
A total of about 1,000 people, 300 units of military and special equipment, including airplanes, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles are scheduled to be involved in the exercise in Tajikistan.
National contingents are to be represented by permanent readiness units and formations from the armed forces, other troops and authorities with military service provided equipped with highly mobile military equipment, mating armament and communications systems, as well as domestic, support and maintenance systems, as well as groups of civilian professionals.
Central Asian Collective Rapid Deployment Forces are tasked to repel external military aggression and to conduct joint anti-terrorist operations. The abovementioned tasks are to be fulfilled in accordance with the joint concept, combined-arms and special operations plan.
