Turkmenistan Changed Its Procedures for Cargo Transportation, Says Tajik Ministry of Transportation

DUSHANBE, 04.10.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Turkmenistan amended the rules for the transportation of goods through border crossings, reports the Department of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan.
The changes were introduced in accordance with the executive order of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow dated September 14, 2022 regarding the regulation of the activities of state bodies at the customs border of Turkmenistan and the establishment of a single fee and payments from foreign owners of vehicles.
This was done in “order to create favorable and competitive conditions for the transportation of export-import and transit goods by road, as well as to increase the efficiency of transport and transit crossings through the territory of Turkmenistan.»
