DUSHANBE, 08.11.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, met with the President of the World Bank David Malpass.
During the meeting, the current state and future prospects for cooperation between Tajikistan and the World Bank were discussed.
The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, expressed satisfaction with the level of partnership between Tajikistan and the World Bank and the effective role of this authoritative financial institution in the implementation of projects and programs for the development of important economic and social spheres of our country, in particular, in assisting the country during the coronavirus pandemic and eliminating its consequences.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the search for new ways of cooperation in the direction of reducing the impact of external factors on the economy of Tajikistan, the implementation of investment projects for the development of infrastructure, the elimination of export-import restrictions and the transit of goods and products, as well as other issues of interest.
At the end of the meeting, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, invited the President of the World Bank to visit Tajikistan.
