President of Tajikistan’s Judo Federation Ismoil Mahmadzoir Meets Japanese Ambassador Toshihiro Aiki

DUSHANBE, 27.01.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the President of Tajikistan’s Judo Federation (TJF) Ismoil Mahmadzoir met with the Ambassador of Japan to Tajikistan Toshihiro Aiki.
The parties discussed the possibilities for the development of judo in Tajikistan.
It was emphasized that the Federation plans to build 5 judo centers in Dushanbe, Khujand, Kulob, Bokhtar and Khorug. Also, negotiations are underway to conclude contracts with Japanese judo specialists to prepare the Tajik national team for the Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Ambassador Aiki expressed confidence in the further development of bilateral cooperation with the TJF and support for initiatives aimed at promoting the spiritual and cultural values of judo.
The plans of the Federation to hold the Dushanbe Grand Prix as part of the world judo tour with the support of the Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, as well as to introduce judo in schools and popularize women’s judo were also outlined.
Ismoil Mahmadzoir invited Toshihiro Aiki to the Republican Judo Championship, which will be held from February 11 through February 12, 2023.
