DUSHANBE, 30.01.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Prices for Internet services will decrease in the near future, said Deputy Chief of the Communications Service Ilhomjon Atoev at a press conference.
For this, according to him, the leadership of the Communications Service is looking for alternative ways and is working with mobile companies and the Antimonopoly Service. Over the past two years, prices for Internet and mobile services have not increased.
He explained that the Communications Service is taking all necessary measures to improve access to high-speed Internet in all regions of the republic, including in remote cities and districts.
“There are many unresolved issues, our specialists are working to eliminate deficiencies, conducting inspections. In 2022, the Communications Service purchased more than 3,000 new bases for high-speed and high-quality Internet. Every day the number of Internet and mobile communication users is increasing, there are not enough data bases. In Tajikistan, 4.5 million subscribers use mobile and fixed Internet,” Atoev said.
According to him, this year the Service plans to purchase more bases.
