DUSHANBE, 16.02.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The promotion of water issues at the global level was discussed on February 15 in Jakarta during the meeting of Indonesian President Joko Widodo with members of the World Water Council and the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Water and Climate Coalition Leaders.
At the meeting, Joko Widodo emphasized six topics for the 10th World Water Forum, to be held in Bali in 2024. One of these was water for humans and nature.
Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Water and Climate Coalition Leaders Sulton Rakhimzoda, informed the President of Indonesia about the preparations for The UN 2023 Water Conference under the chairmanship of Tajikistan and the Netherlands.
He noted the active participation of Indonesia in the preparatory process of the Conference and invited Joko Widodo to attend this historic meeting in New York. The president of the World Water Council, Loic Fauchon informed the President of Indonesia about the preparations for the forum in Bali.
