Khatlon Region Develops Cooperation with JICA

DUSHANBE, 08.02.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The level of bilateral cooperation in various fields, the implementation of investment projects, assistance in the retraining of civil servants, and the development of agriculture were discussed at the meeting between the leaderships of the Chairman of the Khatlon region and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The meeting also focused on the implementation of the new Partnership Program with Tajikistan to implement the National Development Strategy for the period up to 2030, the strategic goals of Tajikistan to improve the communication, energy and agricultural situation in the Khatlon region.
The parties touched upon the issues of improving the business climate, promoting employment of the population, increasing the competitiveness of agricultural products in the region, developing the necessary industrial and export infrastructure.
