DUSHANBE, 03.03.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – As a result of negotiations, intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents on cooperation, tax and customs administration are signed. Their practical implementation will help intensify bilateral cooperation. This was announced today in Dushanbe by the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda.
According to Mishustin, cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia in the cultural and humanitarian spheres is successfully developing today.
“We are planning to hold Days of Russian Cinema and Days of Russian Culture in Tajikistan this year. The current academic year began with an increase in quotas for Tajik applicants. Next year, we have provided over 900 places for citizens of Tajikistan,” said the Russian Prime Minister.
He recalled that last year in September, the presidents of the two states Emomali Rahmon and Vladimir Putin took part in the opening of five secondary schools in Tajikistan with Russian as the language of instruction.
“The humanitarian project “Russian Teachers Abroad” deserves special attention. This project started in Tajikistan in 2018. This year, 74 teachers work in secondary schools in Tajikistan,” added Mishustin.
It should be noted that today in Tajikistan there are 39 schools with the Russian language of instruction, in which about 27,000 students study. There are also more than 160 mixed Tajik-Russian schools, covering about 70,000 schoolchildren.
