Tajikistan and Korea Strengthen Tourism Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 20.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and Korea in the field of tourism was discussed by the leadership of the Committee for Tourism Development and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Tajikistan.
An exchange of views took place on the development of bilateral relations in the field of tourism, studying the Korean experience and attracting investments in this direction.
It was noted that today, Tajikistan has every opportunity to develop tourism, favorable legal conditions are being created, visas are being simplified, a visa-free system is being established, and benefits are provided to domestic and foreign entrepreneurs. All this is done to ensure that every guest and tourist who comes to Tajikistan leaves with unforgettable impressions.
The Korean side proposed to create a working group to determine priority areas for the development of the tourism sector in Tajikistan and to study history, culture, nature in more detail and study these main areas within one year.
The composition of the working group should be created at the expense of representatives of the relevant authorities of the tourist destination and travel agencies of the parties.
The meeting also focused on the possibility of using the experience of Korea in the promotion of the tourism sector and the exchange of tourists.
