Khorug Will Host a Scientific and Practical Conference on Tourism Development in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 19.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Khorug is planned to hold a scientific and practical conference on the topic “Tourism Development in Tajikistan: achievements and problems (study of the experience of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region)”.
The conference will address the following issues, including the priorities of tourism in the region, therapeutic waters, development factors, strengthening human potential, staffing and productive employment, historical and cultural objects — presentation of the region, the development of mountain hunting tourism, the role of civil society institutions in tourism development and ways to improve the quality of services in Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
The Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region is one of the most attractive tourist areas and has gained great fame in the world due to its rivers, lakes, mountains and unique landscapes. The presence of historical and healing places, such as Sarez Lake, Garmchashma, Avj, Yamchun, Jelondeh, Bibi Fotima Zuhro, the highest mountain range in the world and the glaciers of the Pamirs, contributes to the development of tourism in the region.
