DUSHANBE, 24.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The national football team of Tajikistan will take part in the CAFA Nations Cup 2023, which will be held from June 11 through June 20 under the auspices of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA).

CAFA today officially notified the national associations that seven teams — Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, as well as the Oman national team, will take part in the first tournament in the history of the CAFA with the participation of men’s national teams.

The draw will take place on April 26 and will begin at 14:00 Dushanbe time.

Based on the results of the draw, the teams will be divided into two groups. Matches of the Group A, where four teams will perform, will be held in Tashkent. Matches of the Group B with the participation of three teams will be held in Bishkek.

According to the regulations, at the group stage, the matches will be held in a round robin system in one round. Then the winners of the groups will meet in the final. Teams that take second place in their groups will compete for third place.
