Tajikistan and Russia Strengthen Healthcare Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 17.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Issues of studies of population immunity to coronavirus infection conducted in Tajikistan with the support of Russian specialists were discussed on May 16 in Dushanbe by the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda and the Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Semyon Grigoriev.
The parties highly appreciated the level of Tajik-Russian cooperation in the areas of healthcare, as well as the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population.
The parties noted the important contribution of Russia to the development of a system of mobile clinics for hard-to-reach areas of Tajikistan and the fight against infectious diseases in the republic.
The minister emphasized the demand for Russian higher medical education for future doctors in Tajikistan and the importance of active scientific cooperation between the leading medical centers of the two countries.
