Draw for the 2023 Dushanbe Judo Grand Prix Will Take Place Today

DUSHANBE, 01.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, judokas from 40 countries, representing five continents, will recognize their opponents by the results of the draw for the 2023 Dushanbe Grand Prix, which will be held from June 2 through June 4 as part of the World Judo Tour.
The President of the International Judo Federation (IJF) Marius Vizer, as well as most of the Grand Prix participants have already arrived in Tajikistan.
To date, 317 athletes from 40 countries have registered for the Grand Prix. Tajikistan will be represented by 34 athletes, including 28 men and 6 women.
The Grand Prix will bring athletes points towards the rankings for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Dushanbe received the right to host Grand Prix tournaments as part of the World Judo Tour in the period 2023-2026.
The prize fund of the tournament is €100,000. The 1st place will receive €3,000 (judoka €2,400 and coach €600), 2nd place — €2,000 (judoka €1,600 and coach €400), 3rd place (2 athletes) – €1,000 (judokas €800 and trainers €200).
