Tajik U-23 Team Prepares for the 2024 Asian Cup Qualifiers

DUSHANBE, 06.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of the preparation for the 2024 Asian Cup qualifiers, the Olympic football team of Tajikistan (U-23) gathered in Dushanbe and started a two-week training camp.
Head coach Mubin Ergashev called 27 players, including 4 goalkeepers, 9 defenders, 9 midfielders and 5 forwards. The team will conduct training sessions at the Dushanbe Aviator stadium.
U-23 team in the FIFA June days will play two friendly matches with peers from Hong Kong. The matches will be held on June 15 and on June 19 at the TALCO-Arena stadium in Tursunzoda.
In the 2024 Asian Cup qualifiers, the Olympic team of Tajikistan will play in Group I against Australia, Laos and North Korea. The qualifying tournament in this group will be held from September 6 through September 12 in Dushanbe.
The winners of the eleven qualifying groups, as well as the top four teams from the runners-up, will reach the 2024 Asian Cup, which will be held from April 15 through May 3 in Qatar.
