Industrial Growth Rate in Tajikistan This Year Ensured at the Level of 9%

DUSHANBE, 13.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Over five months of 2023, industrial enterprises in Tajikistan together with private entrepreneurs produced products worth more than 16.6 billion somoni, which is more than 1.1 billion somoni compared to the same period last year.
The growth rate, taking into account comparable prices, was also ensured at the level of 9 percent.
The volume of industrial production increased from 15.1 billion somoni in 2016 to 43.0 billion somoni in 2022, the growth rate increased by 2.8 times.
During the five months of 2023, the main factor of growth rate of the industrial sector was an increase in the volume of mining — by 2.8 percent, manufacturing — by 12.8 percent, energy supply, gas, steam and air purification — by 13.1 percent.
For this period, the growth rate of the industrial sector in the Sughd region increased by 108.8% compared to the same period last year, in Khatlon region — by 112.4%, in Dushanbe — by 121.6%, in areas of republican subordination — by 92.6%, in GBAO — by 89.6%.
During the reporting period, 3,174 production workshops and enterprises functioned, including 301 units in the areas of mining, 2,706 units in processing, 71 units in power supply, gas, steam and air purification, 96 units in water supply and waste processing.
