Tajik Athlete Akhmadiev Wins a Gold Medal at the International Athletics Tournament in Kazakhstan

DUSHANBE, 04.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Athlete of the Republican School of Higher Sportsmanship in Athletics Ildar Akhmadiev won a gold medal in the 32nd International Athletics Tournament in memory of Gusman Kosanov, which was held in the Kazakh city of Almaty.
More than 200 athletes from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Iran, China, Japan, Thailand, Georgia and India took part in this tournament.
As part of the Tajik athletics team, Ildar Akhmadiyev won first place in the long jump with a score of 7.39 m.
The winners of the tournament were awarded an award along with a medal. The total prize fund was $25,000.
From July 3 through July 11, Tajik athletes will hold training camps in Almaty in order to participate in the Asian Championship, which will be held in Thailand.
