Tajik Ministry of Culture Reports About International Events in the Second Half of 2023

DUSHANBE, 27.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) — A number of important international cultural events are planned by the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan in the second half of 2023.
In particular, the Days of Culture of Tajikistan in Kazakhstan will be held in August. Kazakhstanis will be able to learn more about the traditions, culture and history of the Tajik people. Then the Days of Culture of Belarus in Tajikistan are planned. The event is aimed at cultural rapprochement of states and peoples. In addition, in September, within the framework of the Summit of the Heads of Central Asian States, a cultural program will be held in Kokhi Borbad with the participation of masters of arts.
Among the important cultural events is the International Festival of Puppet Theaters «Chodari Khayol», which will be held in October. As a rule, it will be attended by creative groups of puppet theaters from the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The festival is aimed at developing cooperation between theatrical puppet groups.
In the first half of the year, the Ministry of Culture has already held large-scale events. One of them was the first special cultural event in the history of the United Nations – «Water and Navruz – two sources of life», which was attended by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the King of the Netherlands and the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations.
In general, according to the Ministry of Culture, more than 38,119 thousand events of various levels were held in six months.
