DUSHANBE, 23.08.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 23, as part of his official visit to China, Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali met with the Mayor of Hangzhou Yao Gaoyuan.
Rustam Emomali stressed that the relations of friendship and cooperation with China are one of the important priorities of Tajikistan’s foreign policy. We are proud that cooperation between the two countries in all areas is constantly developing and reaching a qualitatively new level, as well as a regular and reliable political dialogue has been established at the highest level, which covers the entire spectrum of Tajik-Chinese relations.
The meeting focused on the current situation and prospects for interregional cooperation relations, taking into account the existing development opportunities in various sectors.
The parties expressed interest in strengthening cooperation between Dushanbe and Hangzhou and paid special attention to expanding ties in the sectors of science, innovation, technology, transport, engineering, pharmaceuticals, petrochemistry, and training of scientific personnel.
Following the meeting, Dushanbe and Hangzhou signed a Memorandum on Trade, Economic and Cultural Cooperation.
