More than 50 Athletes from 13 Countries Attend Second Half Marathon in the Sughd Region

DUSHANBE, 06.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – More than 50 athletes from 13 countries took part in the second open mountain half marathon in the Sughd region.
The event was organized within the framework of the 32nd anniversary of the State Independence of Tajikistan.
The distance was more than 21 kilometers uphill to a height of almost 2500 meters above sea level.
The half marathon combines both sports and tourism. The route ran through the Haftkul (Seven Lake) natural complex among seven picturesque mountain lakes. In addition to the competition, the athletes were able to enjoy the views of nature.
