Roads Will Be Certified in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 19.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank has been provided with equipment for registering road assets.
The equipment was purchased by a New Zealand company, imported into Tajikistan and installed on a passenger car.
The equipment consists of a laser scanner, 3 cameras, odometer and GPS.
The roughness of the road, the IRI index, the exact length of roads and the location of road structures are electronically recorded, that is, certification of roads will be carried out.
Also, after complete collection of data related to public roads and their assets, an electronic form of road map is developed.
Using this equipment, the quality of maintenance, reconstruction and road construction work is determined.
Certification of roads is carried out in accordance with Article 32 of the Law of Tajikistan “On highways and road activities.”
