DUSHANBE, 01.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received a member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, and secretary of the CPC Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Committee, Ma Xingrui.
A wide range of issues of friendly relations, good neighborliness and cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China within the framework of comprehensive strategic partnership were discussed during the meeting.
The head of our state mentioned the positive trend of development of cooperation in the political, economic and trade, investment, industry, transport, energy and agriculture, education and tourism spheres as well as involvement of modern technologies.
Favorable opportunities were emphasized for the development of cooperation between the parties in promising sectors of the digital and “green” economy, especially the electric power industry and its infrastructure, reconstruction and construction of roads.
In this regard, the parties noted the significance of reconstruction of Kulma-Karasu border crossing point in creating favorable conditions for the transportation of goods and products between the two countries.
The leader of the nation expressed the interest of the Tajik side in developing and expanding cooperation with state-owned companies and business circles of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in these areas.
In this context, the parties found it useful to hold the next meeting of the Tajikistan- Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region sub-commission and a forum of entrepreneurs of the two sides. During the meeting, the two sides also discussed issues of inter-party relations and some other topics being of mutual interest.
