DUSHANBE, 16.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, on the sidelines of the meeting of the CIS IPA Council and the 56th plenary meeting in Bishkek, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali met with the Chairman of the CIS IPA, Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the process of fruitful cooperation between the National Assembly of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation Council, including within the framework of the CIS IPA.
While considering the importance and role of constant interstate dialogue, today the process of expanding multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia is assessed as corresponding to the level of strategic partnership.
It was also recognized as important the intensification of bilateral cooperation in priority trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas.
While expressing satisfaction with the expansion of inter-parliamentary relations, the parties emphasized the significant activities of the Cooperation Commission of the National Assembly and the Federation Council, as well as the results of the effective implementation of its decisions for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
