DUSHANBE, 31.01.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Kobiljon Khushvakhtzoda met with Deputy Head of the Representative Office of the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) in Central and Eastern Europe Li Yudong.

Yudong called the purpose of his trip to consider the signing of a Memorandum of Technical Cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the China National Nuclear Corporation.

He considered it important for the parties to sign this document and said that the implementation of the document will create favorable conditions for strengthening cooperation and scientific relations between both parties.

It was also noted that 2024 will be an important and successful year for the parties.

Khushvakhtzoda noted that the Memorandum must be adapted to the current laws of Tajikistan and undergo internal procedures.

He proposed expanding cooperation between Tajik scientists and their Chinese colleagues in the field of exact sciences and strengthening joint research in the fields of astrophysics, physics, chemistry, seismology and ecology.

The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
