DUSHANBE, 15.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – From February 16 through February 18, Tajik judokas will take part in the Baku Grand Slam 2024.

Tajik team include 12 athletes (8 men and 4 women), including Muhammadsoleh Kuvvatov (-60 kg), Abubakr Sherov, Umedjon Rajabov (-73 kg), Somon Kishvarov (-90 kg), Jahongir Majidov (-100 kg), Mansur Rahmon, Shakarmamad Mirmamadov (+100 kg), Shukrona Karchieva (-48 kg), Akhlia Muminova (-52 kg), Fazilat Gulboeva (-57 kg) and Mavluda Odinaeva (-63 kg).

About 500 athletes from more than 65 countries are expected to take part in the tournament.

Athletes will get points for participation and improve their position in the Olympic rankings.

The winners and runners-up will receive a prize along with a medal, including €5,000 for first place, €3,000 for second place and €1,500 for third place.
