47 Tajik Citizens Repatriated from Syria per President Emomali Rahmon’s Instruction

DUSHANBE, 25.04.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the fourth group of Tajik citizens in the amount of 47 (13 families) women and children (15 women, 17 girls and 15 boys) were repatriated from Syria by a special flight per President Emomali Rahmon’s initiative.
They were welcomed at Dushanbe International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister Dilrabo Mansuri, First Deputy Chief of the Presidential Executive Office Firdavs Hayotzoda, Assistant to the President on Social Development and Public Relations Abdullo Rahmonzoda, heads of relevant ministries and departments, as well as other responsible persons.
As a result of the implementation of specific measures during 2019-2023, more than 300 Tajik women and children were repatriated from Iraq and Syria.
It should be noted that Tajikistan’s experience in repatriating citizens from combat zones and working with them is recognized as positive.
Repatriated women and children, after the necessary stages of rehabilitation and social integration, will be included in a family environment.
Rehabilitation, adaptation to normal life, as well as providing employment and education for women and children repatriated from combat zones, is under the special attention of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the government.
